Lions & leopards & zebras, oh my!
Safari time!
Our 4-day safari to Simbavati Hilltop Lodge was stupendous! The lodging and food were amazing, and the number and proximity of the wild animals we saw was truly awe-inspiring. We were thrilled that daughter Tasha jetted down from London to join us for this unforgettable experience.
Each day, we took 3-hour morning and afternoon tours in an open-air jeep. We explored the vast open terrain adjacent to Kruger National Park, stopping frequently to ogle at all the wildlife. As we toured, we marveled at how well the animators of the Lion King captured the looks, airs, and gaits of the various wild animals, prompting Pete and me to spout the film’s dialogue and songs far more often than Tasha (and perhaps the other guests in the jeep) appreciated!
